The Belgian Offshore Days 2021 took place on 17 and 18 March. During this annual event, Belgian companies active in the field of offshore wind energy meet in Ostend and work on specific themes related to offshore wind.
Due to circumstances, the decision was taken to opt for a hybrid conference that was broadcast online. To this end, the Belgian Offshore Cluster joined forces with Blue Cluster, POM West Flanders, Inn2POWER and Port Oostende to set up a nice and interesting program.
On 17 March, many speakers came to Ostend to discuss the added value of smart data use for offshore wind energy. On 18 March, the focus was on the results of the European Interreg project Inn2POWER.
A number of prominent guests also took the floor during the conference, including Federal Minister for Energy Tinne Van der Straeten and Federal Minister for the North Sea Vincent Van Quickenborne.
The event was an overwhelming success, with more than 450 participants from 40 countries who watched everything from a distance. Interested in joining us next year? Then make sure to mark 23 and 24 March 2022 in your calendar.
