On Friday 26th of May , we celebrated the completion of the infrastructure works in our park and symbolically hammered the last stakes of the enclosure around the new GEOxyz building into the ground. This new building will also house the VITO WaterClimateHub.
We kicked off the event with a warm welcome from our CEO, Carl Devos, who expressed his gratitude to all the stakeholders involved in making this project possible. Arn Verspille, the project coordinator from UGent, provided a chronological overview of the park’s development. Patrick Reyntjens, the CEO of GEOxyz, shared his vision for the future and emphasized the importance of innovation and research and development (R&D). Inge Neven, the newly appointed CEO of VITO, explained the vision of the Water Climate Hub. After the symbolic pounding of the stakes, a cozy networking event followed.
