Join the wave and participate in The Blue Survey!
We are seeking your views on how the ocean influences your life and how your actions may have an influence on the ocean. This survey is focused on the industry sector working in marine and maritime industries.
Up to this time, initiatives to raise ocean awareness have been largely focused on primary and secondary education. However, less attention was given to the industry sector.
“The Blue Survey” was designed as part of a doctoral project in Ghent University (Belgium). This survey will help to evaluate people’s awareness of ocean-related topics and their willingness to undertake responsible actions for a healthy ocean. The survey is now available in 9 languages and takes maximum 20 minutes to complete.
It’s addressed to people that are in some way connected to maritime industries in the blue economy (aquaculture, marine biotechnology, offshore renewables, fisheries/food processing, shipbuilding and repair, shipping and logistics, oil & gas, seabed mining and coastal tourism sectors). Other sectors are of course more than welcome. The more diverse voices, the better the understanding!
The results will provide an innovative contribution on how public perceptions on the ocean vary and will contribute with valuable social information that may be incorporated into decisions to support the blue economy.
